
The best definition of a small business is one that is small in terms of number of employees, overheads and typically sales volume and annual profit. These types of businesses will include small boutiques and shops, usually run and managed by one or two persons;or a single professional like your barber, grocer or vet. Therefore because of their nature, they are usually privately owned with few investors if any.
Online business is fast replacing the traditional small business. It is internet based and allows for more flexibility and freedoms as well as a higher profit potentials.
